Danville, NH: Janet L. (Sholler) DeFelice, 87, of Danville, formerly of Swampscott, MA, died unexpectedly on October 7, 2020 at her home in Danville.
Born in Merrill, Maine, Janet was the daughter of the late Christine Sholler. She grew up in Smyrna Mills, Maine and was a graduate of Oakfield High School. After completing high school, Janet relocated to Massachusetts to attended school in Beverly to become a Licensed practical nurse. Janet spent her career working in the field and was employed for some time as an LPN in a Jewish rehabilitation center in Swampscott.
Janet was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She also enjoyed reading and time spent with her friends which she called her "lunch bunch" and her "Iron Wheel Park friends". Those who knew her well, will miss hearing her mutter her favorite response to just about everything; "Whatever".
Janet will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Steven DeFelice, and his partner Donna Lewis of Lynn, MA, and Nicholas DeFelice of Danville, NH, formerly of Swampscott, MA, her daughter, Valerie Richard and her husband David of Peabody MA, grandchildren, Ashley Twitchell, Patrick DeFelice, Megan DeFelice, and Brenda DeFelice, as well as many nephews and nieces. Janet was predeceased by her husband of fifty-seven years, Patrick N. DeFelice, her brother, Robert Furrow and sisters Ralphine Hyson and Peggy McGraw,her grandson, Justin Twitchell.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Thursday October 15, 2020, at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH, following the guidelines of the State of New Hampshire for social distancing and the wearing of face masks in the funeral home. Her Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 am from the funeral home followed by burial at 1:00 pm in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH.
