Haverhill: Yvonne M. (Dodier) Meehan, 83, a native and longtime resident of Haverhill, and formerly of North Broadway, died April 12, 2020 at Penacook Place in Haverhill.

The daughter of the late Edward and Emma (Gardner) Dodier, she was raised and educated in Haverhill schools and was a member of All Saints Parish and the former Saint Joseph Parish. Primarily a housewife and homemaker for most of her life, Mrs. Meehan was employed in the local shoe industry as a young woman. She was an accomplished cook and baker, and enjoyed making lobster pie and even more, enjoyed eating lobster pie, whether it was out of her oven or from a local restaurant. She was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and a former resident of Plaistow, NH before moving back to Haverhill.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-five years, James H. Meehan, Jr., two sons, James H. Meehan III, and his wife. Lynne of Hampton, NH, and Scott E. Meehan and his longtime loving companion, Leona Ploff of Haverhill, two daughters, Cynthia Balukas and her husband. Joseph of Newton, NH, and Rhonda Langlois and her husband. Stephen of Haverhill, a brother. Ronald Dodier and his wife. Carol of New Mexico, seven grandchildren, Joseph "Jay" Balukas, Shawn M. "Rocky" Balukas, Jason Hodgeny, Brandon Dodier, Adam Dodier, Zachary Langlois and Brian Langlois, nineteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond, Emile, Roland, Edward and Lucien Dodier.
