Plaistow, NH; William "Bill" Sherwood Putnam, 79, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Holy Family Hospital, Haverhill, Massachusetts, with his loving family by his side.

Born in Haverhill, MA, son to the late William and Louise (Baillargeon) Putnam, he was raised and educated in Hampstead, NH, and was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy. Following graduation, he went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1965. During his service, he met the love of his life, Susan Windham and later settled in Plaistow, NH to raise their family. Bill went on to work for Honeywell for over thirty years as a computer technician before retiring.

Bill was blessed with the innate ability to fix almost anything from computers to vehicles. A true homebody, he enjoyed fixing things within his home and maintaining his beautiful property. He also enjoyed hiking trips in the White Mountains with family and friends. Above all, spending time with family was most important.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Susan (Windham) Putnam, two sons, William J. Putnam and David Putnam; daughter, Michelle Shaboo, all of Plaistow, five grandchildren, Timothy, Samantha, Blaze, Jake and Alicia; one great-grandchild and two sisters, Sandy Simonds and her significant other, Gary, and Christine Housel and her husband, Bill of New Durham, NH.
