William E. "Bill" Nelson 60, of Northwood, NH, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
Bill was born May 12, 1961, in Brooklyn, New York, son of William M. Nelson and the late Lucille E. (Johnson) Nelson. Bill and his family moved to North Andover, MA during his childhood. Bill was a graduate of Essex Agricultural and Technical High School, where he cultivated his love for landscaping, hardscaping, and all things outdoors.
Bill was a master stone mason, who acquired the skills of the ancient trade from an exceptional Italian mason. Bill was the founder and owner of Nelson Masonry for the past 35 years. He has created countless fireplaces, walkways and hardscapes all over Massachusetts and New Hampshire. This artwork will be here to inspire all for many years to come.
An avid fisherman and gardener, when Bill was not working he could be found on his boat in a nearby lake, on the ocean, or tending to a garden. He was a true outdoorsman with a love of all animals and nature.
Bill was a "jack of all trades" and a true handyman who could fix anything. He loved his family and his many friends and was a kind, honest and caring man. Everyone who knew him, loved him.
Above all, Bill adored his son Erik, and was very proud of him. They were the best of friends and had many adventures together.
Bill is survived by his son, Erik Nelson of Boston, MA; his father, William M. Nelson of Atkinson, NH, two brothers, Clifford Nelson and his wife, Kathleen of Deerfield, NH, and Paul Nelson and his wife, Sherri of Webster, NH, a sister, Karen Smith and her husband, William of Atkinson, NH; eight nieces and nephews and six great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased on November 9, 2021 by his loving mother, Lucille Nelson.
