M. Schloth
February 27, 1932 – September 11, 2020
Sandown, NH: William M. Schloth, Sr., 88, of Sandown, NH, formerly of Derry, NH, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020, at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH.
Born and raised in Haverhill, MA, he was the son of the late William H. and Lucille (Rival) Schloth, and graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1949. After high school he served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War. For many years William worked as a tester at Western Electric before owning two electronics businesses, BBL Electronics in Haverhill, MA, and Wilmar Industries in Londonderry, NH.
Bill was an avid sports fan, always cheering on the local teams as well as going to the racetrack with his good friend Maurice "Moe" Trudel. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially 45's, traveling, and fishing. Most of all, he loved his family and friends and hosting the many gatherings at his home.j
Bill will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of thirty-three years, Mary (Nugent) Schloth, sons, William M. Schloth, Jr. and his wife Roxanne of Hampstead, NH, David Schloth of Merrimac, MA, Steven Schloth and his wife Patricia of Haverhill, MA, daughters, Linda Little and her husband Douglas of Kingston, NH, Karen Schloth of Atkinson, NH, step-son, Brian Spates of Derry, NH, step-daughter, Tammy Tagliaferri and her husband Paul of Methuen, MA, brother, Richard Schloth of Haverhill, MA, uncle, Bill Rival of North Fort Myers, FL, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephew, and nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours from 4 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH, following the guidelines of the State of New Hampshire for social distancing and the wearing of face masks in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 17 at St. Anne's Church, 26 Emerson Ave., Hampstead, NH. Burial to follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Kent Farm Road, Hampstead, NH.
