Kingston, NH: William P. Lawrence, 77, a resident of Kingston since 1974, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 30, 2022.
Born in Haverhill, son of the late William A. and Eva (Blanchette) Lawrence, he attended local schools and was a member of the Haverhill Trade School Class of 1963. He later attended the Forestry Program at Essex Agricultural and Technical Institute. A Vietnam Era veteran, Bill served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea as a Specialist 4. He was a recipient of the The Good Conduct Medal, the Marksman Medal and Rifle M-1 Badge. Following his Honorable discharge in 1963, he served in the National Guard until 1968.
Bill was employed for several years as a delivery and maintenance man for Currier's Furniture of Hampton, NH. He was a longtime member of Mary Mother of the Church Parish, St. Luke the Evangelist Parish and the Saint Jude Council of the Knights of Columbus. Devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren, he enjoyed wood working, gardening, and maintaining and making improvements in his home.
He will be missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-five years, Barbara (Becker) Lawrence, two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannette M. and Robert Miles, of Salisbury, MA, and Suzette T. and James Haydock, of Seabrook, NH, two brothers, Ernest Lawrence, of San Luis Obispo, CA, and James Lawrence of Chelmsford, MA; grandchildren, Jonathan Lawrence, Timothy Miles, Shane Haydock and Kayla Haydock.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 5, 2022, at 10 AM at Mary Mother of The Church of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish, 12 Amesbury Road, Newton NH. Military honors rendered by the U.S. Army will follow immediately after Mass. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home of Plaistow, NH. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
