Obituary

Haverhill, MA: William J. Langevin, 61 of Haverhill, died on February 20, 2018, after being stricken at home.

Born, raised and educated in Haverhill, son of the late Robert and Rita (Laverdiere) Langevin, he attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and was a member of the Haverhill Trade School Class of 1974. He later earned his Associates Degree in Business Management, and later went on to receive both his Bachelor's Degree in Technical Management and his MBA in Project Management from Southern New Hampshire University.

Bill was employed for forty years as a Manufacturing Manager at Cobham Defense Electronics (formerly M/A-Com) and for the past year at Microwave Engineering Corporation of North Andover. He was a proud recipient of an Individual Recognition Award, presented personally to him by the U.S. Government Programs Office, Washington, D.C.

He was known as a man who could fix anything and was the first to help a neighbor, a friend, his family or a stranger. He enjoyed gardening and caring for his numerous pets. He was devoted to his dog Hickory, who joined him, his wife,  and grandchildren on walks in the woods.

"He was so loved and will be missed every day. He left us too suddenly. We hope those who passed before him, including his beloved pets, meet him and take care of him until we can all be together again."

Bill leaves behind his beloved wife of twenty-three and a half years, Nancy (Swartz) Langevin, who he told every single day that he was a lucky man. He will also be sadly missed and lovingly remember by his children Nathan Langevin and Lisa Kelly  and their families, including his beloved eight grandchildren,  also a brother Robert Langevin and his wife Emma of VA, two sisters, Patricia Cowan and her husband Joe of NH, and Jane Watson and her husband Mike of NJ, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. His funeral will begin on Monday morning at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill.
