Plaistow – William L. Joray, 84, died April 10, 2023 at Portsmouth Hospital following a brief illness.

Born January 27, 1939 in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of the late Lewis and Mildred (Handel) Joray.

William had owned and operated Joray Welding Company for over forty years. In his spare time he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, camping,  spending time with his family, attending antique car shows,  and collecting antique cars which included a 1950 Ford Custom Convertible, a 1957 T-Bird, and a 1966 Mustang Convertible.

Members of his family include his children Lynda Noyes and husband Stacy of Plaistow, NH; William R. Joray of Kingston, NH; three grandchildren Christopher, Heather, and Amanda, four great grandchildren Carson, Jacoby, Cruz, Bella, his longtime companion Cheryl Ferguson of Hampstead, NH; his brothers Donald, Jimmy, and Tommy Joray, and his sisters Maryann Gilliotti and Eleanor Higley, many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Sandra (Senter) Joray, his daughter Sandra Fortin, one brother Eddy and one sister Louise.

A celebration of William's life will be announced at a later date.
