Groveland, MA:  William J. Beier, age 93, of Groveland, MA and formerly of Haverhill, MA, died on December 10, 2017 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, MA.

Born in Lawrence, MA, the son of Fred and Sarah (Christian) Beier, he attended grammar school in Lawrence, MA and graduated from Tenney High School, Methuen, MA with the Class of 1942.   He worked as a Warehouse Supervisor for A T & T and Western Electric Company until his retirement in 1987.

He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a former member of the Communication Workers of America.  He enjoyed golfing, playing cards – especially 45's and cribbage.  A former Winter resident of Destin, FL, Mr. Beier also enjoyed traveling.

The husband of the late Helene (Fournier) Beier, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David J. and Suzanne Beier of North Port, FL; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna M. and John Morse of Maryville, TN; six grandchildren, William "Billy" Beier, Eric Beier, Christina Lynch, Robin Morse, Mary Dimond and Kelly Morse, eight great grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
