Obituary

Haverhill, MA:  Wayne Anthony Miele, 66, of Haverhill, MA, died on December 9, 2018 at his home.

Born in Lowell, MA, the son of the late Frank Miele and Audrey Goldstein-Kent, he attended the University of MA in Lowell.  Wayne served in the United States Army as a Specialist 4 th Class during the Vietnam Era.  Following his discharge, he worked for the railroad as a lineman laying tracks.

Wayne was a smart man with a great sense of humor.  He loved to share his stories about his time in the military and serving his country.  He also enjoyed sharing stories about his family, especially when they visited England.  He was a kind and gentle soul who was generous and a friend to everyone.  He will be dearly missed by all of his friends.

He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his mother, Audrey Goldstein-Kent of Arizona; sisters, Janice Grandy and her husband, Tom of Scottsdale, AZ, Gloria Foley and her husband, Bill of Plymouth, MA, Frankie Miele of Lowell, MA, Irene Collette of Bellingham, MA, Carolyn Lavigne of Fairfield, ME; brothers, William Miele of Lowell, MA and Michael Miele and his wife, Jennifer of Chelmsford, MA and stepmother, Catherine E. Miele.  He was pre-deceased by a brother, Anthony Frank Miele.

Burial with military honors will take place at a later date in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.  Arrangements are under the direction of Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.
