Manchester, NH: Wayne A. Collins, 60 of Manchester and a former longtime resident of Danville, died suddenly on New Year's Day at Catholic Medical Center.

Born in Exeter, son of the late Roy H. and Evelyn (Harris) Collins, he was raised and educated in Danville and was a member of the Timberlane Regional High School Class of 1975. A self-employed carpenter for much of his life, Mr. Collins was presently employed as a finish carpenter by Lewis Builders of New Hampshire.

An avid hunter who also enjoyed ice fishing, hiking and camping on Lake Ossipee, Mr. Collins was an accomplished horseshoe player and member of the Bedbug Horseshoe Club, and was a fan of country music.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his lifelong and loving partner, Collette Desmarais of Manchester, his son Mathew W. Collins of Carver, MA, a daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Richard Pena of Rowlett, Texas, a brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Cheryl Collins of Wolfeboro, NH, a grand-daughter, Tessa Rose Pena, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Gary Collins and Roy "Buddy" Collins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Wayne's Life Celebration to be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will follow at 6:15 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial donations be made to The American Heart Association.
