Raymond, NH: Walter J. Zukofski, 72, of Raymond, died peacefully at his home on April 1, 2020, on the nineteenth anniversary of his beloved wife Linda's death.
Born in Lawrence, MA, son of the late Edward and Eva (Lemarier) Zukofski, he was raised in Salem NH, and educated in the public school system. He was employed for many years at Honeywell in Lawrence as the warehouse manager.
A former resident of Haverhill, he also resided in Kingston for nine years before moving to Raymond NH in 2003. He worked for over fifteen years as a custodian at Sanborn Regional Middle School in Newton where he was known as the "beloved Mr. Z". Following his retirement, he worked as a driver for staff and students of Seacoast Learning Center.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Zukofski enjoyed camping and fishing, and vacations through his timeshares in Boca Raton, Myrtle Beach, Las Vegas and Aruba.
Predeceased by his beloved wife of thirty-five years, Linda F. (Skea) Zukofski, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters, Kerry Brannan and her husband Thomas of Raymond, with whom he made his home, Kathy Brannan and her husband Matthew of Exeter, a son Michael C. Zukofski and his wife Kelly of Haverhill, a sister, Patricia Martell of Boxford, MA, seven grandchildren Steven, Zachary, Tyler, Samantha, Kacie, Jayme and Madison, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, Walter M. Zukofski and William Zukofski, a sister Linda Christy, and a brother Edward Sukofski.
A private family funeral service and burial will be held under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home of Plaistow, NH. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to NHSPCA, P.O.Box 196, 104 Portsmouth Avenue, Stratham, NH.
