Salem, NH: Walter L. (Andrzejewski) Andrews, 72 a resident of Salem since 1985, died on March 9, after being stricken at his home.
Born in Chatelineau, Belgium, the son of the late Gregory and Halina (Czerech) Andrzejewski, he moved with his family to the United States in November 1951 and settled in Haverhill, MA. He attended local schools and was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1967. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Doane College in 1971 and later his MBA from Rivier College, in Nashua, NH. He was employed as a sensory scientist at The Gillette Company in Boston from 1972 until his retirement in 2008.
A devoted grandfather who enjoyed watching his grandchildren in their sports endeavors, he also was an avid New England Patriots fan and enjoyed photography, trips to the casinos and spending time with his "grand dogs".
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of forty-eight years, Joan (Sapienti) Andrews, two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Kim Andrews of Needham, and Chris and Laura Andrews of Framingham; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and John Page of Salem and Elizabeth and Dennis Parrish of Atkinson; two grandchildren Eva and Aaron Andrews;. nephews and nieces, Joe, Kate, Gregory, Stephen, Samantha and Jonathan; and several cousins. He was predeceased in 2002 by his brother, George Andrzejewski.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Life Celebration to be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. in the funeral home and followed by a private burial service in Saint Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
