Haverhill, MA: Wallace H. "Buddy" Crowell, 87, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Bedford, MA with his son, Eugene, daughter-in-law, Jeannette, granddaughter Melissa, and grandson, Cory by his side.

Born in Haverhill, son of the late Hugh M. and Annie J. (MacRae) Cromwell, Bud graduated the Haverhill Trade School. He enlisted in the Navy at 17 after the Army rejected him due to poor eyesight. He participated in the Battle of Africa, Yalta Meeting, and Okinawa. He re-enlisted for the Korean War, being discharged with the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class.

Bud married Cecile Boudreault on June 27, 1964. He worked as a Dock Master for Honeywell Corporation until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of All Saints Parish and St. Vincent-de-Paul Society. He enjoyed playing cards, especial 45's. He and his family were longtime residents of Haverhill and the Crowell School in Haverhill is named after his late uncle.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Crowell is predeceased by his wife, Cecile, and his sister, Barbara. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur L. Boudreault and his wife, Diane Sanborn of San Jose, CA, Richard C. Boudreault and his wife Loraina of Okinawa, Japan, Francis H. Boudreault and his wife Elaine, of Fort Myers, FL, Eugene P. Boudreault and his wife Jeannette of Haverhill, 18 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call on Monday, September 16, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 12:00 noon from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. in All Saints Church. Burial with military honors will take place at the National Cemetery in Bourne on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. Donations in his name may be made to the St. Vincent-de-Paul Society, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, MA.
