Haverhill, MA: Virginia "Anne" (Merrill) Adams, 75, of Haverhill died on January 11, 2015 at Wingate Nursing Home.
Born in Boston, and raised and educated in Auburn, ME, daughter of the late Herbert A. and Marion (Fernandez) Merrill, she graduated from Edward Little High School.
Mrs. Adams was employed at Plaistow Bank and Trust for many years and had also been employed as a retail sales clerk in local stores.
A member of local bowling leagues, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and arts and crafts.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years, Eugene F. Adams, four sons, Dennis Dube and his wife Bernice of Waltham, David Adams and his wife Diane of Haverhill, Dale Adams of South Carolina, and Michael Adams and his wife Kelley of Haverhill, a daughter, Darlene Golden and her husband Ken of Hampstead, NH, nine grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill, MA.
