Kingston – We are sad to announce that Virginia Marie Murphy passed away Friday, April 19, 2024. She lived a long life..

Born December 9, 1928, in Lynn, MA, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Mary (Gorman) O' Meara.

Virginia along with her husband, Edward raised their children in Swampscott, MA, her best memories included summers at the camp on Northwood Lake, retirement years spent in Bonita Springs, Florida. She always made it home for the holidays. Virginia had a great group of friends that she loved. She loved spending time with family.

Members of her family include her six children Maureen Egan and husband Larry of East Hampstead, NH; James Murphy of CA; Daniel Murphy of Beverly, MA; Kathleen Schwenn and husband Edward of Raymond, NH; Colleen Murphy of Wareham, MA; and Brian Murphy of Raymond, NH; twelve grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Edward Murphy in 2014.

Family and friends may visit Saturday May 4, 2024, from 11 AM – 1PM at the Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. A celebration of Virginia's life will begin at 1:15 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.
