Haverhill, MA: Victoria M. (Iasimone) Auclair, 96, a longtime resident of Haverhill and Bradford and a former wintertime resident of Ormond Beach, FL, died on June 15, 2014 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill.
Born, raised, and educated in Haverhill, daughter of the late Ralph and Louisa (DiAdamo) Iasimone, Mrs. Auclair attended Haverhill public schools and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1935.
In her younger years, Mrs. Auclair worked in local hat shops. She was also employed at Western Electric Company and retired from the Haverhill Welfare Department, where she worked as a social worker for many years. A member of Sacred Hearts Parish, she was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
Wife of the late George W. Auclair, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, George W. Jr. and Pauline Auclair, of Salem, NH, and Wayne T. and Denise M. Auclair of Plaistow, NH, a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce M and Walter Muse of Ormond Beach, FL, six grandchildren, Julie Lipof and her husband Phil of Maplewood, NJ, Suzanne Auclair and her husband Jeffrey Aronson of Pelham Manor, NY, Eric T. Auclair and his wife Stephanie of Plaistow, Allison (Auclair) Manetakis and her husband Emmanuel of Amesbury, MA, Amy M. (Muse) Drolet and her husband Peter of Ormond Beach, FL, and Mary-Beth Fichera and her husband Stephen of Ormond Beach, FL, ten great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. Her funeral will begin on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sacred Hearts Church, Bradford. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.
