Hampstead, NH: Veronica M. (Gantick) Blinn, 81, of Hampstead passed away on February 15, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Willimantic, CT, and raised and educated in Windham, CT, daughter of the late John and Catherine (Burski) Gantick, she graduated from Windham High School.
A housewife and homemaker for most of her life, Mrs. Blinn and her late husband, Robert, owned and operated Broken Spindle Antique Shop of Hampstead for many years.
An avid Red Sox fan, Mrs. Blinn never missed a game and also enjoyed watching soap operas, especially "All My Children". She enjoyed working in her yard, mowing the lawn, and raising blueberries. Despite her recent illness, she still tended her bushes this past year and succeeded in harvesting eighty-five quarts of blueberries. She also enjoyed bird feeding and bird watching as well.
Mrs. Blinn was predeceased by her husband, Robert H. Blinn, and is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Vanessa R. and Larry Frenette of Plainfield, CT, Nancy A. and Paul Marin of Newport, NH, two step-daughters, Linda J. Blinn-Smolen and her husband Walden Smolen of Bozrah, CT, and Lisa J. Blinn and her husband Jack Carlton of South Berwick, ME, a brother, Henry Gantick and a sister, Frances Anthony both of Storrs, CT, ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH.
