Haverhill: Ursula L. (Sinotte) Couture, 81, a native and former longtime resident of Haverhill, died peacefully February 11, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her family.
The daughter of the late Ambrose and Rose (Lajeunesse) Sinotte, she attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and Presentation of Mary Academy in Hudson. A member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1954, Mrs. Couture was an administrative assistant employed for several years at Western Electric Co. and A. T. & T. Technologies. She later worked as a cashier at the Market Basket Stores in Salem and Nashua for several years before retiring.
A member of the former Saint Joseph Parish of Haverhill, she enjoyed baking, entertaining family and friends during the holidays, spending summers at Lake Winnipesaukee, Orr's Island Maine, and the special times spent with her brother Paul and his family at Hampton Beach.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty-six years, Maurice Couture, two daughters, Paula and Paul Cunniff of Bradford, and Karen and Dennis Quinn, of Salem, NH, two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Quinn and Dennis Quinn,Jr., a sister-in-law, Elaine Sinotte of North Wales, PA, her longtime close friend Barbara Roche of North Andover, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers, L. Paul Sinotte and Raymond Sinotte.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday evening, February 16, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at BERUBE- Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9a. m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill with burial to follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St, Lawrence, MA .
