IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ursula B.
Goyette
September 22, 1933 – December 8, 2022
Atkinson: Ursula B. (Fournier) Goyette, 89, of Atkinson and formerly of Hampstead and Plaistow, died December 8, 2022 at Parkland Hospital in Derry.
Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late L. Adrian and Laura (Ouellette) Fournier. She attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and graduated as a member of the Saint James High School Class of 1950.
Mrs. Goyette was married in 1953 to the late Phillip R. Goyette. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and while they were stationed in Idaho, she worked on the base. When they returned to this area they settled in Plaistow to begin raising their family. In 1997, Phillip and Ursula moved to Hampstead and later to Atkinson in 2016 and were longtime member of Saint Anne's Parish of Hampstead.
Mrs. Goyette was employed for many years as a secretary and clerk in the Purchasing Department of the Haverhill City Hall. She also took on some part-time jobs as well as a period of full time employment at A.T.&T. Technologies to help supplement the family income, while her children were in college.
Over the years, she enjoyed knitting, flower gardening, bird watching, and slot machines. She also enjoyed playing card games and board games with her family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she lived for family gatherings and cookouts, and happily and shamelessly spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Predeceased in 2021 by her husband of sixty-eight years, Phillip R. Goyette, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons and their spouses, Paul R. and Jonathan Goyette of Kelseyville, CA and Kevin and Kimberly Goyette of Hampstead, five daughters and their spouses, Anne and Gerard Ayotte of Rochester, NH, Kathy and Aaron Fitzgerald of Pembroke, NH, Joan and Mark Amirault of Haverhill, MA, Nancy and Scott Nelson of Arundel, ME and Donna and Kenneth Tatro of Moultonborough; a brother Ignatius "Pete" Fournier of Plaistow; sixteen grandchildren, Nathan, Michele and Gregory Ayotte, Ryan, Megan, Andrew and Lindsey Fitzgerald, Nicole Goyette, Danielle Amirault, Brianna Crocker, Alysson and Caden Acquaviva, Alexander Goyette, Brittany Bergstrom, Jillian and Olivia Tatro; four great grandchildren Aiden, Evelyn and Liam Fitzgerald and Emerson Crocker; and several nieces and nephews.
