Newton, NH: Timothy A. Barry, 70, of Newton, NH, died peacefully on May 12, 2018 at High Pointe Hospice House, after a recent diagnosis and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Lowell, MA son of the late Francis Barry, Sr., and Jeannette (Brousseau), he was a graduate of the University of Lowell and a Vietnam Veteran. Tim, as he was known, spent his career as a Controller, most recently at IWP in Andover, MA where he retired from in October 2016. Tim loved to golf, fish, and play cards, forty-fives in particular, and had a great love for the Boston sports teams.
Tim's love for his family was immeasurable starting with the love of his life Priscilla (Geoffroy), to whom he was married to for forty-seven wonderful years. In addition he will be greatly missed by his son Brian F. Barry of Merrimac, MA, daughter Pamela (Barry) Skwiot and her husband Timothy, of Windham, NH and their two children Jackson (12) and Kaitlyn (10), Tim's beloved grandchildren, and daughter Christine (Barry) Platt and her husband Dave, of Amesbury, MA.
Tim is also survived by his siblings, brothers Francis Barry, Jr. and his partner Miguel of CA, Robert Barry and his wife Nina of AZ, Raymond Barry and his wife Betty of NH, and sister, Barbara Murphy and her husband Mike of AZ.
In addition the Barry family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff at High Pointe Hospice House for their compassion and comforting care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Tim's Life Celebration to be held on Wednesday May 16, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation in memory of Tim be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.
