Haverhill, MA: Thomas A. Roy, 67, of Haverhill, formerly of Newton, NH, died peacefully Monday, October 8, 2018, at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.

Born in Lynn, MA, he was the son of the late Robert and Lorraine (Hartshorn) Roy. The family moved to a farm in Chester, NH for a while before relocating to Peabody, MA where Tom was a member of the Peabody Veterans Memorial High School graduating class of 1968. Tom was the Property Manager at Meadowview Condominiums in North Andover for over thirty years. He settled down in Newton, NH with the love of his life, his wife of thirty-seven years, Cheryl.

Tom was an avid fisherman of both fresh and saltwater, owning a boat of his own for many years as well as a Harley-Davidson. When he wasn't enjoying these activities, he tended to his vegetable garden. More recently he would go camping at Ossipee Lake with his family - daughter, son-in-law, and three grandchildren who gave him the greatest pleasure of his life, spoiling them.

Predeceased by his wife Cheryl (Callahan), Tom will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his only child, Danielle Ingersoll and her husband Dave, grandchildren Adam, Austin, Zachary, brother David Roy and his wife Helene of Crestwood, KY, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018, at 11:00 AM in Union Cemetery, 9 New Boston Rd., Newton, NH. In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests a donation in Tom's memory to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance PO Box 32141 New York, NY 10087-2141 or by visiting give.ocrfa.org
