Kingston, NH: Thomas R. Peterson, 58, of Kingston and a former longtime resident of Brentwood, died November 2, 2017, with his loving family by his side at Frisbie Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NH, following a long illness.
Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, he was the son of Karoline (Bender) Peterson and the late David Peterson. As a child he moved to the United States, settling first in Everett, WA, and Arlington, VA and later moved to Randolph, MA.
A member of the Boston College High School Class of 1977, he had a long career as a sales manager at the Sear's Home Improvement Department.
A resident of Brentwood for twenty-five years, Tom enjoyed gardening, taking care of his yard and pool and hosting family and friends for cookouts and was known for his grilling expertise. An accomplished guitarist, he enjoyed music, and trips to the beach, and was an avid New England Patriots fan.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of thirty-two years, Patricia (Dyer) Peterson, two sons, Thomas R. Peterson, Jr. of Newmarket, and David J. Peterson, of Kingston, his mother, Karoline (Bender) Peterson, of Randolph, three brothers-in-law and their wives, James and Theresa Dyer, of Sagamore Beach, MA, Michael and Rosemary Dyer of Haverhill, MA, and William and Linda Dyer of Abington, MA, two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Eileen and Conall Ryan of Newburyport, MA, and Christine and Timothy White of Tewksbury, MA, also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private family funeral service was held at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Plaistow, followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Kingston. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA, 02452.
