Hampstead, NH; Thomas Randolph Leonard 74, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Laconia Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Born May 21, 1948, in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late Joseph B. Leonard Sr. and Beatrice (Hubner) Leonard. He was raised and educated in Hampstead, New Hampshire, and was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy. He proudly enlisted in the United States Army in December of 1968 and fought in the Vietnam War on the front lines. He rose to the rank of Sergeant and his bravery and courage earned him numerous commendations. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal and several other medals, badges, and commendations.

The tales of his bravery lived on in the stories he shared with those close to him. When his service to his country came to a close, he settled back in his hometown of Hampstead. For a change of pace, he repaired computers for several years before his retirement.

Tom enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed working on his home and tinkering with his vehicles. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family and having fun with those around him.

He will be lovingly remembered by his nephews, Joseph Leonard III of Alton, Jonathan Leonard of Middleton, MA; great-nephew, Joseph "Joey" Benjamin Leonard IV; cousin, John Hubner of Hampstead; longtime friends and neighbors, Paul and Dotty Kelly of Hampstead. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Rolve Leonard, Joseph Leonard and Beatrice Clery.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours to be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 10:00am in the family lot at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampstead, New Hampshire.
