Obituary

Haverhill, MA:  Therese G. (Miller) Goodwin, 90, formerly of Greenlawn Ave and Broadway, Haverhill, died on November 27, 2019 at the Hannah Duston Nursing Home, Haverhill, MA, surrounded by her loving family.

A lifelong resident of Haverhill, MA, she was the daughter of the late Emile A. and Nathalie (Girard) Miller.  She attended Haverhill High School, graduating with the Class of 1947, and MacIntosh Business School.  Therese first worked as a sales clerk and secretary for the former Pentucket Shoe Store of Haverhill and later for many years as the Bookkeeper for the James Page Insurance Company until her retirement.

She was a member of All Saints Parish of Haverhill and the former St. Joseph Parish and the Women's Insurance Association.  Therese enjoyed sewing, knitting and traveling, especially to Hawaii and Ireland and across the United States.

The widow of Francis P. Goodwin, to whom she was married for fifty-six years until the time of his death in 2008, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise F. and Thomas Kew of Bradford, MA and Noreen A. and Thomas Merrill of Haverhill, MA; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Kew of West Newbury and Katie Merrill and her fiancé, Sean Brown of Haverhill, MA and several nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Janice T. Goodwin, who died in 2016, a grandson, Michael G. Kew, who died in 2004 and two brothers, Armand Miller and Ernest Miller.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Therese's Life Celebration to be held on Sunday, December 1, 2019, from 3 to 6 PM at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.  Her funeral will begin on Monday, December 2, 2019, at 9 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 AM in All Saints Church, Haverhill, MA.  Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill, MA.
