Theresa E. (Viens) Viens, 87, of Haverhill, MA, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at the Penacook Place Nursing Home.



Born in Haverhill, MA, daughter of the late Wilbrod and Marie (Berube) Viens, she attended St. Joseph Grammar School, Haverhill and Ste. Theresa School in Newburyport.



Primarily a housewife and homemaker, Mrs. Viens worked for two years at the former Western Electric Co. and opened her home as a Foster Parent to twenty-nine babies for Children's Aid and Family Services.



A former resident of Altamont St., Victor St. and Hadley West Drive, she was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish and All Saints Parish, Haverhill, and the Ladies of St. Anne Society.



The widow of the late Robert J. Viens who died in 1994, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Alan M.and Rachel Viens of Haverhill; two daughters and son-in-law, Pamela Labatte of Manchester, NH and Linda and Steven Prescott of Haverhill; six grandchildren, Jason Prescott, Jennifer Prescott, Justin Prescott, Amy Viens, Sara Viens and Matthew Viens; two great grandchildren, Connor Prescott and Brennan Prescott and several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by a son, Ronald R. Viens, who died in 2012 and a son-in-law, Donald Labatte.



Relatives and friends may call on Friday, December 21, 2012, from 4 to 8 PM at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.Her funeral will begin on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at 9 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10 AM at All Saints Church, Haverhill.Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill.
