Haverhill: Theresa D. (Valenti) Eubanks, 88, a longtime Haverhill resident, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at High Pointe Hospice House, in Haverhill.
Born in Haverhill, she was raised by her grandparents Camillo and Teresa (D'Angissi) Valenti. She attended local schools and was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1951.
Mrs. Eubanks worked as a secretary in the local shoe and leather industry, including Seymour Shoe, Shane Shoe Co. and L. H. Hamel Leather Co. and at Marble Motors Co in Haverhill.
A resident of York, ME for several years, before moving back to Haverhill in 2009, she was employed at State Transportation Co. of Portsmouth and Mikasa and Corning outlet stores in Kittery, ME.
Mrs. Eubanks was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an accomplished cook and especially enjoyed preparing special dishes for her grandson, Steven and his wife. Mrs. Eubanks also devoted much of her time as a volunteer at Pregnancy Care Center and raising funds for the establishment of High Pointe Hospice House.
Predeceased in 2008 by her beloved husband Charles E. Eubanks, and in 2021 by her son, Retired U.S. Navy Master Chief Edward J. Eubanks, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son, Retired Massachusetts State Police Sergeant, Richard W. Eubanks and his wife Kim of Melbourne Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Steven C. Eubanks and his wife Hayley Franz of New Boston, NH, Kristen Eubanks and her wife Kendalle Holley of Virginia, and William Eubanks of Florida; two sisters, Elaine (MacLeod) Ellis of Haverhill, and Evelyn (MacLeod) Taliento of Kissimee, FL; and nieces and nephews, especially her dedicated God-daughter, Brittney Ellis. She was predeceased by three sisters, Doris Smith, Helen Rizzo and Mary Ouellette, and two brothers, James MacLeod and Louis MacLeod.
Calling hours for family will be held on Friday morning, October 21, 2022 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will follow at 12:15 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill, MA. Donations in her name may be made to High Pointe Hospice House, 260 North Ave., Haverhill, MA.
