Suzanne Arlene Childers, 78, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at her home on July 13, 2026, in Haverhill. She was born on April 1, 1948, in Haverhill, the daughter of the late Edmund Lahaye and Blanche Lahaye (Richard).

Suzanne was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1966. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years, and finally, an Agent for James Paige Insurance Company until her retirement in 2014.

Suzanne enjoyed many weekends spent with her beloved sisters, Terry and Barbara, shopping, playing games and cooking their favorite recipes passed down from their mother. In her last few years, she enjoyed her grand dog Henry moving in with her providing plenty of cuddles, kisses and beagle howls.

Above all her greatest joy was her granddaughter, Eva. She lived for Eva and savored every moment with her.

Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Childers of Haverhill, Massachusetts; her son, Christopher Childers and his wife, Lisa, of Atkinson, New Hampshire; her brothers, Raymond Lahaye and his wife, Susan, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, and Ronald Lahaye and his wife, Marie, of Boonton, New Jersey; her sister, Barbara Rembis and her husband, Mark, of Deerfield, New Hampshire; and her beloved granddaughter, Eva Childers.

She was predeceased by her parents; her sisters, Carol Anderson, Marie Papoutsy, and Theresa “Terry” Ouellette; and her brother, Richard Lahaye.
