Susan S. (Brisbois) Nute, 75, a resident of East Hampstead, NH passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2025 at Exeter Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of William Nute.

Born on August 28, 1949, Susan was the daughter of the late Henry and Laurette (Bouley) Brisbois. A 1967 graduate of Presentation of Mary Academy in Hudson, NH, Susan went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Notre Dame College in Manchester. She was employed as a medical technologist for several years at Notre Dame Hospital in Manchester, Hale Hospital and Northeast Medical Lab in Haverhill.

As her family grew, Susan made the heartfelt decision to stay home and care for her children. She cherished summers spent at the family's lakeside cottage, creating lasting memories with her children and, later, her grandchildren.  Susan had a love for hosting gatherings, playing cards, gardening and bird watching. She was especially proud of earning her black belt in karate, a testament to her determination and spirit. A devoted member of St. Anne Parish in Hampstead, NH, Susan's faith was a guiding light in her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Susan is survived by her loving husband, William, and her children: Katherine Nute of Tobyhanna, PA, Christopher Nute of Exeter, NH, and Stephanie Leesam and her husband Nicholas of Manchester, NH. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Charles Leesam, Margaret Leesam and Cooper Stephenson, her sister Irene Dion and her husband Ronald, her brother-in-law Stephen Nute and his wife Lisa, and her sister-in-law Deborah Nute. Susan is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Addison, Melanie, Wesley, Brian, Elizabeth, and Michelle.

Susan was predeceased by her brother-in-law Kevin Nute.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 4pm – 7pm at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin at 10am at the funeral home on Saturday, January 18, 2025. A funeral mass will follow at 11am at St. Anne's Parish, Hampstead, NH. Interment will be held privately.
