Hampstead, NH: Susan J. Harrington (Hemenway), 67, died unexpectedly in her home in Hampstead, NH on December 18, 2018.

The daughter of the late Kenneth T. and Mary E. (Sullivan) Hemenway, she grew up in Brighton, attending Our Lady of Presentation Academy as a member of the Class of 1969. After high school, she went to Shepard-Gill School of Practical Nursing completing the program in 1971. After meeting Bill, the love of her life, they moved to Brockton and lived there for twenty years before relocating to Hampstead, NH in 1991 where they raised their family.

Susan was well known as a social butterfly. She appreciated any excuse to get together for lunch with friends, a party, or go shopping, especially at the outlets in Kittery, ME. But above all else, Susan loved her family so much.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of forty-seven years, William "Bill" Harrington, two daughters Suzanne Cronin and her husband Christopher of Hampstead, Laura Combs and her husband Kim of Hampstead, brothers Kenneth Hemenway and his wife Tami of Anchorage, AK, David Hemenway and his wife Alice of Quincy, MA, Mary Cassedy and her husband Jack of Hingham, MA, Linda Mistovich and her husband Eli of Londonderry, four grandchildren, Joseph, Thomas, Patrick, Connor, several nephews and nieces, and last but not least, Buzzy her Standard Poodle.

Relatives and friends are invited to Susan's Life Celebration on Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 4 PM to 7 PM at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow. Her funeral will begin on Monday, December 24, 2018 at 7:45 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 9 AM in St. Anne's Church, 26 Emerson Ave, Hampstead, NH. Burial will take place in the spring at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampstead.
