EAST HAMPSTEAD, NH – Susan M. (McCusker) Duquette, 85, of East Hampstead, died Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at her home surrounded by family. She married her longtime friend and love, Raymond J. Duquette, Sr., in May of 1951, and he preceded her in death in 2009.

Born in Melrose, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Thomas and Clara (Melanson) McCusker, she attended school in Plaistow. Mrs. Duquette lived in East Hampstead for twenty-one years and moved to Raymond in 1986, where she lived for fifteen years before returning to East Hampstead eighteen years ago. She retired from AT&T Technologies in North Andover after more than twenty years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Susan was a dedicated wife and mother, first and foremost. She treasured her husband, children, and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Memere. She was a member of St. Anne's Parish, Hampstead, and enjoyed music and dancing.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond J. Jr. of East Hampstead, NH, William A. and Roberta Duquette of Herndon, VA, and Richard R. and Brenda Duquette of East Hampstead, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Pauline and Albert Lahaye of Charlotte, NC; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Carol McCusker, Bristol, NH, Patrick McCusker, Bristol, NH, and James and Joanne McCusker, Bristol, NH; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Daniel McKay, Saint Johnsbury, VT, sister Margaret Cotter, Raymond, NH; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Call, and her brothers and sister-in-law Edward and Dorothy McCusker, and Leo McCusker and her grandson, Justin Duquette.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may call on Monday, August 26, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Route 121A, Plaistow. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 27, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with A Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Plaistow.
