Obituary

Kingston, NH: Steven McCluskey, 62, born 26 June 1955, died at home on 19 January, 2018.

Born in Haverhill, MA, he was the son of the late John McCluskey of Boston, MA., and survived by his mother Muriel French of Haverhill, MA. Steven was raised and educated in Haverhill, graduating with the 1st class of Whittier Tech, as the Treasurer. Steven would go on to earn his Master Plumbers license, and supervise the Plumbing department at Tufts Medical Center.

Steven was an extremely hard working man, respected by his peers and subordinates alike, and was dedicated to not only his work, but his family even more so. A devoted Catholic man, he raised his family to share his strong faith, and attended services most Sunday's at St. James Church, on Winter Street in Haverhill.

His love of the outdoors led him to many hobbies like Beekeeping, deep sea fishing, and shooting sports as a gun enthusiast. Steven was an avid history buff, kept a weather station at home, and could fix anything with his incredible mechanical ability. A man who didn't take himself too seriously, Steven loved to goof around, but would give you the shirt off of his back. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson, and rode often. Known for his love of cooking outdoors, Steven's crowning barbeque accomplishment was the "WhackyMac2000" pig roaster; a design he invented, welded, and perfected for feeding his family and friends at many BBQ's.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Mary of thirty-eight years. He is survived by his son Gavin McCluskey and his wife Michelle of Haverhill, MA., daughter Felicia (McCluskey) Cooke and her husband Chris of Kingston, NH. Two grandchildren Quinlan and Logan, a sister Debra Jones of Haverhill, MA., who tragically passed away only hours after his death, his sister Tammy McCluskey from Haverhill, MA., who he predeceased by twenty years, as well many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Steven's Life Celebration to be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. His funeral will begin from the funeral home at 8:45am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 am on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at St. James Church, Winter Street Haverhill. A springtime burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Kingston, NH.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Jimmy Fund in Steven's name.
