Stephen R. Young, age 73 of Atkinson, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley in Haverhill with his loving family by his side.

He was born on August 30, 1942 in Concord, NH the son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Bond) Young. Stephen served his country in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged.

Stephen was a hard working family man who enjoyed spending time with his family at the lake house on Belgrade Lakes in Maine. He enjoyed watching sports and old Western movies, playing video poker and especially, going on cruises with his wife, Nikki.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Natalie E. "Nikki" (Foye) Young of Atkinson. His daughter, Karen Marena of Atkinson. His sons; Michael J. Young and his wife, Kathryn Kruger of Londonderry and Daniel Stephen Young and his wife, Jessica of Atkinson. His grandchildren; Janelle Marena, Sydney Marena and Mason Daniel Young. Several nieces and nephews also survive him.

Family and friends are invited to Mr. Young's Life Celebration on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 4-8 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street (Rt. 121A), Plaistow, NH 03865. His funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 9 AM. U.S. Navy Military Honors will follow the service. Donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
