Newton, NH: Stephen M. "Steve" Hart, 71, of Newton Junction, NH, son of the late Claire C. (Paquette) Hart and John L. Woodburn passed awa y on the morning of May 13, 2020 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, after a four year battle with Parkinson's Disease and most recently, the Covid 19 virus.
Born & raised in Lawrence, MA he attended St Patrick's Grammar School and Greater Lawrence Vocational School, where he developed his passion for carpentry and electricity.
Steve was an entrepreneur establishing his own businesses, Cam/Rox Trucking, The Magic Carpet Store, and Video Extra. Additionally, he managed both Babies Are Us and Barnes & Nobles Book Store in Salem, NH, and Coffee Corner in Hampton Beach, NH, for his brother. His success in business spilled over to his hobbies in carpentry, electricity, and mechanics.. He built sheds and decks, and framed and wired rooms. As a teen he bought his first car,, took it apart bolt by bolt and then put it back together just to see how it was built. It started right up! He also built his own motor sports bike. He invented a fe w items as well, including a wine cooler that could cool a bottle of wine in less than three minutes. He had an extremely high IQ, and was a wi z at math being able to multiply 2-3 d i gits numbers, in his head, and have the answer in less than 10 seconds. Steve authored two novels , Edan Found and The Devil ' s Game . Additionally, he established his own publishing company, Hart-Burn Press, publishing Ludington ' s Ride by Charles Welty as well as his own novels. Steve was a very spiritual man. This led him to edit The Greatest Story Ever Revealed , a three-volume set on his layman's interpretation of the Gospel According to Andrew. As a poet, Steve wrote many poems including The Well Loved Man , about his dad, and The Red Headed Angel, as well as multiple lyrics for songs. Steve loved animals. He and his wife Roxie had several horses, dogs, and cats over the years. His favorite dogs were Doberman Pinchers and they owned six during his lifetime, naming them all Seven.
As an avid golfer, Steve was a member of several leagues at Crystal Springs Golf Club and Merrimack Golf Course. He was an 8-12 handicap over a period of years.
Steve loved to engage people in conversation on any subject, but mostly about health and the environment. He was extremely passionate about these subjects. But, if you knew Steve you knew he had an opinion on just about everything. Steve was predeceased in1984 by his sister Sheila Hart.. He is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years Roxanne (Priest) Hart of Newton Junction, NH, his loving brother Randy and his wife Kathy Hughes of North Andover, MA, his nieces and nephews, Brendan Hart of Gulfport, FL and Brienne Hart Yurrita and husband Jose of North Andover, Brittany Hart-Belcher and her husband Ryan also of North Andover, Cory Hart and his wife Helene of Punto Gorda, FL, and Alex Hart-Lane of Maine. He loved his visits from his grandniece and grandnephew Alexia and Lucas Yurrita.
