Stephen J. Beiras, 74, of Atkinson, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015 following a long battle with cancer.

He was born on May 27, 1940 in Boston, MA the son of the late, Jose and Pasqualina (Selvitella) Beiras. He was raised and educated in Boston and graduated from East Boston High School, Class of 1959. He earned his BA in History from Suffolk University and his MA in Education from Boston State.

Stephen is survived by his spouse, Sara (Cotter) Beiras of Holly Springs, NC, his daughter, Christine M. Beiras of West New York, NJ, his sons; Joseph D. Beiras and spouse, Heather of Holly Springs, NC, Michael A. Beiras and spouse, Darci of Saranac Lake, NY and his sister, Irene M. Maio and spouse, Louis of West Peabody, MA and his brother, Joseph M. Beiras of Redondo Beach, CA. Eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive him. He was predeceased by his son, Stephen C. Beiras in 2011.

There are no calling hours. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 10 AM at St. Luke the Evangelist Parish at Holy Angels Church, 8 Atkinson Depot Road, Plaistow, NH 03865.
