Newbury: Stanley F. Paszko, 95, formerly of Haverhill and a longtime resident of Port Charlotte, Florida, died March 27, 2020 at Country Rehabilitation Center in Newburyport.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late John and Frances (Ryczko) Paszko and graduated from Haverhill High School and Haverhill Trade School with the Class of 1942. A veteran of World War Two, he served honorably in the U.S. Navy and was a recipient of the World War Two Victory Medal, American Area Medal and the Asiatic and Pacific Area Medal.  For most of his working life, Mr. Paszko was employed as a driver and mechanic for Exxon/Mobil Co.

A resident of Port Charlotte, FL, for twenty-six years until returning to the area in 2017, Mr. Paszko was a former member of Saint Michael's Church of Haverhill and a member of the AmVets Post 147 of Haverhill, the Carl Davis Post of the American Legion of Plaistow, the American Legion of Port Charlotte and the V.F.W. of Georgetown. He enjoyed Polish music and dancing, and had the ability to fix anything mechanical.

He is survived by a brother Walter Paszko of Haverhill, and several nieces and nephews including Jane McNeal of Newbury and Patricia Beals of Amesbury , who have been his supportive caretakers during his later years. He was predeceased by brothers, Joseph, William, John, Michael and Zigmund Paszko and sisters Veronica Paszko and Doris Clement.

Due to the National Health Emergency, Mr. Paszko's services and burial will be private under the direction of Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN or to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA.
