Atkinson, NH: Simone F. (Bourque) Mooers, 78, a resident of Atkinson for the last fifteen years, died peacefully on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at High Pointe Hospice House.

Born, raised and educated in Haverhill, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Raymond and Eleanor (Giles) Bourque, she was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1960 and was a member of the former Portland Street Baptist Church. She was employed as a supervisor at Western Electric Co and AT&T Technologies and was a member of Communication Workers of America Local 1365.

Family was first and foremost to Simone, who was a great cook, and she was immensely proud of her family. She leaves behind beautiful memories of family gatherings, traveling and adventures of which she was always at the center.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of sixty years, David W. Mooers, four daughters and sons-in-law; Rhonda and James Campbell, of Wolfeboro, NH, Suzanne and Joseph Welch, of Littleton, NH, Michelle and Mark Bunker of Haverhill, MA and Kristen and Steven DiVito of Salem, NH, three brothers, Francis G. Bourque of Haverhill, Calvin R. Bourque, and Jay A. Bourque, both of Kingston, NH, two sisters, Jane Bourque of Amesbury and Carole Bourque of Haverhill, ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Barry Bourque.

Relatives and friends are invited to Simone's Life Celebration to be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will follow at 12:15 in the funeral home and conclude with burial in Hillside Cemetery, Haverhill, MA. Those attending are required to observe the State of NH guidelines for social distancing and the wearing of masks.
