Methuen: Shirley D. Lowell, 91, a lifelong resident of Methuen, died suddenly on April 12, 2017 at her nephew's home in Atkinson, NH.

Born in Methuen, daughter of the late Clarence and Grace (Chateneuf) Lowell, she graduated from Tenney High School with the Class of 1943.

Miss Lowell was a longtime secretary for Bolton-Emerson Co. and a member of Saint Monica's Parish of Methuen. She was an avid bowler who also enjoyed dancing and was a volunteer for the Methuen Housing Department and the Nevins Home.

She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by nephews, Gary Liss and his wife Carol of Atkinson, NH, and David Lowell of Manchester, NH, nieces, Donna Sabourin and her husband Bob of North Reading, and Nancy Gilmore of York, Maine, and several great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. in Saint Monica's Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
