Duchesneau
December 30, 1965 – December 27, 2023
Newburyport, MA – Sherry A. Duchesneau, 57, passed away Wednesday December 27, 2023, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Born December 30, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Sandra (Eaton) Surette.
Sherry was employed by the Kakouris family as a bookkeeper for over 25 years and was treated as a member of the family not an employee, Nick Kakouris was like a brother to her.
Sherry was a bright, caring, loving, and compassionate woman, and a woman of great faith. She was known as "Polly Positive" to her friends as she would always put a positive spin on negativity.
Sherry enjoyed cruising the Caribbean and fell in love with the island of Aruba where she and her husband Edward recently celebrated their thirtieth wedding anniversary renewing their vows on the beach. Sherry also enjoyed going to the beach with family and friends, and trips to the White Mountains during foliage season. She especially enjoyed listening to music on the deck with her husband.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of thirty years Edward Duchesneau of Newburyport, MA; her two stepsons Daniel Duchesneau of Lowell, MA; and Michael Duchesneau and wife Michaela of Salem, NH; three grandchildren Aidan, Ava, and Kennedy, her four siblings Cathy Clayton and husband Philip of Haverhill, MA; Jeffrey Surette and wife Christine of Groveland, MA; Chris Surette and wife Audrey of Bradenton, FL; and Diane Senechal and husband Richard of Barrington, NH; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit Thursday January 4, 2024, from 3 PM – 7PM at the Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Friday morning at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, MA.
