Newton, NH: Sheila M. (Gouin) Deal, 73, of Packer Meadows, died March 16, 2017 at Penacook Place in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

Born, raised and educated in Haverhill, daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (LaBranche) Gouin, she was a member of the Saint James High School Class of 1961 and was employed as an in-home care specialist with local home health care agencies.

A former longtime resident of Plaistow, she also resided in Hampstead, Tamworth and Madison, NH before returning to Newton several months ago. Sheila was a former member of Holy Angels Parish of Plaistow, and enjoyed collecting as well as buying and selling antiques.

The wife of the late Richard C. Deal who died in 2014, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by a son Spencer W. Deal of Sandown, a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer A. and George Dore of Ossipee, brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul D. and Marie Gouin of Haverhill and James M. and Martha Gouin of Georgia, a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret "Peggy" and Joseph Ebert of Hampton, grandchildren, Derek Deal, Skyla Dore and Slayd Dore, several nieces, nephews, an aunt and several cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Richard E. Deal, her sister Barbara Reed and brother Arthur J. Gouin.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 9 until 10:30 a.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in Holy Angels Church of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish, 8 Atkinson Depot Rd. Plaistow. Interment will take place immediately afterwards at Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
