Sheila A. (Cunningham) Heil, 76, of Raymond and a former resident of Plaistow, died January 19, 2018, at Parkland Medical Center in Derry.
Born, raised and educated in Lawrence, MA, daughter of the late William and Claire (Fitzpatrick) Cunningham, she was a member of the Lawrence High School Class of 1959.
Mrs. Heil was employed at Raytheon for twenty years as a Final Missile Inspector and worked on the Patriot and Sidewinder Missile programs. She had previously worked at Western Electric Co. and Kenoza Rest Home in Haverhill.
A resident of the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire all of her life, Mrs. Heil enjoyed playing cards, especially 45's and reading the Lawrence Eagle Tribune everyday while enjoying her morning cup of coffee. Family was especially important to her as she gathered them together for Sunday dinners featuring foods from Raymond's Turkey Farm, Thwaites, and Mann's Orchards, and she enjoyed spending time with her grandsons. She also enjoyed a good game of Parcheesi and summer vacations with her family at Seabrook Beach and York Beach.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Paul A. Heil of Raymond, daughters, Cheryl M. Thompson and her husband Brent of Chester, and Caryl A. Heil of East Hampstead, two grandchildren, Jon Crawford, and Shaun Sullivan, her former husband, Joel Heil of Raymond, two aunts, several cousins and a niece. She was predeceased by her sister Noreen Cunningham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service to be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH . A reception will immediately follow at Brookstone Park, 14 Route 111, Derry, NH.
