Shannon M. Kelleher, 36, of Hampstead, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday April 15, 2026, at her home with her cherished companion, Dante, the rescue dog by her side.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of William Kelleher and the late Tammy (Rutledge) Kelleher.
Shannon graduated from Pinkerton Academy in 2008. She went on to Keene State College, where she received her bachelor’s degree in communications in 2012. There she made numerous close, lifelong friendships. Most recently she worked as a Marketing Strategic Initiatives Coordinator for Southern New Hampshire University, a job she loved and excelled at.
For a short time not too long ago, Shannon lived in St. Petersburg, Florida where she met two women who would become very close friends and part of her extended family. While she was there, she adopted a rescue dog named Dante who would become her best friend and “son.” Shannon absolutely loved spending time with her family and friends traveling, BBQing, and attending concerts.
Shannon will be sadly missed but forever in the hearts and memories of her father, William “Billy” Kelleher and his life partner, Diane Bernstein of Hampstead, New Hampshire; Godmother, Donna Curley of Nashua, New Hampshire; maternal grandfather, William Kelleher of Winthrop, Massachusetts; cousins, Emily, Paige, Sarah, Jonathan, and Shawna, as well as numerous friends, and her most cherished companion, Dante. Shannon was predeceased by her mother, Tammy (Rutledge) Kelleher, paternal grandmother, Roberta Kelleher, and maternal grandparents, Donald and Diane Rawding.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Calling Hours from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, on Friday April 24, 2026, at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, New Hampshire. A Funeral Service for Shannon will start at 4:15 PM, on that Friday April 24, at the Funeral Home. In accordance with Shannon’s wishes, cremation will follow the services.
