Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Scott Michael George, aged 60, who bravely concluded his battle with cancer. Scott's life was a beacon of kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family and friends.

Scott, a beloved son, husband, father, brother, cousin, and grandfather, leaves behind a legacy of deep connections and cherished memories. He was born on February 12, 1963, to Allen Porter George and Charlotte Lucielle George, of Kingston, NH, who instilled in him the values of compassion and resilience. Alongside his brothers, Keith and Kevin, Scott grew up learning the importance of family bonds and community involvement.

Scott's life journey led him to his loving wife of 25 years, Dory, with whom he shared a love that was both deep and enduring. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Michael and Brittany, who were the pride of his life. Scott embraced his role as a father with dedication, nurturing his children with guidance and support. The joy of fatherhood was further amplified when Scott became a grandfather to Lilianna, daughter of Michael and his wife Cheryl. His love and wisdom were a guiding light in all their lives.

Everyone who met Scott enjoyed his charming whit and personality. He was a friend to everyone and always had a sympathetic ear. Other than spending time with his family and friends, Scott enjoyed gardening and took pride in his immaculate landscaping. He enjoyed camping, NASCAR, casinos, relaxing next to the koi pond, and volunteering for veterans. He worked many years in sales before becoming a bartender. He worked at Derry Memorial VFW Post 1617 and Kingston Memorial VFW Post 1088 for many years before he became too sick. Scott was a life member of the Auxiliary to the Kingston Memorial VFW Post 1088 and held many offices at the Auxiliary level. He was respected for his calmness and patience in any situation. He was genuine and always made everyone feel welcome.

Besides his wife and children, he leaves his mother, Charlotte George of Kingston, NH, his brother and his wife, Keith and Barbara George of Fremont, NH. His niece, Michele George of Kingston and his nephew and his wife, Christopher and Sarah George of Epping, NH with their son Joshua. He also leaves a large extended family and a multitude of friends. Scott's absence will be profoundly felt, yet his spirit and the memories he created will continue to inspire and comfort those who knew him.

Preceding Scott in death were his brother Kevin and his father Allen.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org) in memory of Scott. This gesture will contribute to cancer research and advocacy, echoing Scott's courage and hope in the face of adversity.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 3 pm – 6 pm at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home located at 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. His graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 11 am in Pine Grove Cemetery on Route 111 in Kingson, NH.
