Haverhill, MA: Ruth A. (Kenney) (Kimball) Sargent, 75, of Haverhill died on March 2, 2015 at Lawrence General Hospital.

Born in Plaistow, NH daughter of the late Byron B. and Olive (Gaudette) Kenney, Mrs. Sargent attended the Pollard School and Haverhill High School.

As a young woman Mrs. Sargent was employed at Allen Shoe Company. She was later employed at Clicker City and David's Glass Company, and most recently as a Customer Service Representative at Wal-Mart in Plaistow. Mrs. Sargent was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Raymond, NH.

Known as "Ma Kimball" to all of the neighborhood children, Mrs. Sargent never turned away anyone who needed a warm meal, a friendly smile, and a roof over their heads.

She was predeceased by her husband of twenty-six years, Earle Sargent, Jr. who died in 2011 and her son, Charles Kimball, and is survived by five sons, Theodore Kimball of Haverhill, Joseph Kimball and his wife Cindy of Londonderry, NH, Carleton Kimball of North Carolina, Michael Kimball of Haverhill, and Byron Kimball and his wife Ann of Epping, NH, three daughters and sons-in-law, Lin-Ann and Chet Jones of White Cloud, MI, Kim and Lee Gonyer of Raymond, NH, and Christine and Richard Burnes of Derry, NH, three step-children and their spouses, William E. and Tammy Sargent of Danville, NH, Richard E. and Dolores Sargent of Danville, NH, and Debra and Albert Desmarais of Haverhill, a sister, Celina Richardson of Florida, twenty grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Sargent's Life Celebration on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.
