Kingston, NH: Russell K. Thomas, Jr., 88, of Kingston died on January 10, 2014 at Exeter Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Plaistow, son of the late Russell K. and Clara R. (Kelly) Thomas, he attended Pollard School and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. Mr. Thomas served as an aviation cadet in the US Navy Air Corp during World War II and attended Harvard University, Yale University, and the University of North Carolina.
Mr. Thomas owned and operated his own used auto and salvage business, R.K. Thomas and Sons. He also owned the former Route 125 Flea Market in Kingston. He enjoyed woodworking and built all of his own residences.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Judy Thomas of Bonita Springs, FL, a son, Lance Thomas of Port Charlotte, FL, a daughter, Lori Margeson-Thomas of Kingston, fifteen grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, a great-great grandson, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Brian Thomas, his daughter, April Bergstrom, and his brother, Philip E. Thomas.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH.
