Obituary

Danville, NH:  Russell W. Arnold, 61, of Danville, NH, died on November 26, 2019, at Exeter Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Exeter, NH, the son of Mary E. (Crozier) Arnold and the late Edward A. Arnold, he was raised in Danville, NH and attended Timberlane Regional High School, graduating with the Class of 1976.  He worked for local retailers installing in-ground swimming pools.

Russell attended the Danville Baptist Church as a young man. He was an accomplished  musician and played bass guitar for jazz and country western bands in the New England area, including the White Eagle Band and The Midnight Hustlers.  He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and maintaining his lawn.  Other than jazz and country music, he also enjoyed listening to Elvis.  He was the proud owner of a 1962 Ford Galaxy and hosted a Fourth of July party every year at his home.  He enjoyed spending the winter months at his home in Inglis, Florida.

The widower of Pamela (Pacheco) Arnold, Russell will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Russell W. and Katherine Graeme of Henniker, NH and U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Wayne P. and Amy Arnold of Groton, CT; his mother, Mary E. (Crozier) Arnold of Brentwood, NH; a brother, Paul S. Arnold and his wife, Lisa of Florida; two sisters, Helen B. DeMarco and her husband, Joseph of Sandown, NH and Susan E. Fitton of Raymond, NH; six grandchildren; a cousin, Tommy Arnold of Danville, NH, who was like a brother to him; very close friends, Eddy Gagnon of Florida and Donald Kirkpatrick of Hampstead, NH; close friend, June Lafflin; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was predeceased by another close friend, Bobby Simpson.

DUE TO THE STORM ON MONDAY, Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, from 3 to 5 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.  His Funeral Service will follow at 5:30 PM in the funeral home.  Burial will take place in Center Cemetery, Danville, NH.

Donations in Russell's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
