Dorchester, NH: Ruby A. (Huntley) Noel, 99, a resident of Dorchester since 1977 and a former resident of Plaistow for thirty-five years, died February 14, 2019 at her home.
Born and raised in Merrill, Maine, daughter of the late Irvin and Ina (Gallison) Huntley, she attended local schools and Hephzibah Bible School.
Mrs. Noel was employed in the laundry department at Bradford College, Haverhill, MA, and later worked for the Meals on Wheels Program in Canaan.
She was a member of the Assembly of God of Canaan, Grange #280 of Dorchester, and the Happy Golden Years Senior Center. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and doll making.
Predeceased by her husband Herbert C. Noel in 2002, her daughter, Hazel I. Crowley and her son, U.S. Army Major John H.T. Noel, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three daughters, Rosalie "Dee" Schmidt, her longtime care giver, of Dorchester, Althea B. Broderick of Haverhill, MA, and Thalia H. Van Middlesworth and her husband Robert of Canton, Illinois, her daughter-in-law Patricia Noel of El Paso, Texas and her son-in-law, Thomas Crowley, of Boston, a brother Richard Huntley of Weare, NH, twenty grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from, 3 to 5 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main ST., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will follow at 5:15 at the funeral home. A private burial service will take place at a later date.
