Derry, NH: Roy S. "Scott" Sykes, 89, of Derry and formerly of Danville and Chester died on September 20, 2013 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry.

Born in Syracuse, NY son of the late Roy O. and Laura K. (Scott) Sykes he was a self employed musician and worked as an organist for local churches for many years.

He is survived by a daughter, Laura K. Thibeault and her husband John of Chester, two sons, Roy S. Sykes, Jr. of North Carolina, and James W.S. Sykes and his wife Stephanie of Hopkinton, several grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.

There are no calling hours. A private family graveside service will take place on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Pine Grove Cemetery.
