Mrs. Rosa Y. (Soucy) Villeneuve, 101, of Danvers, MA and formerly of Buttonwoods Ave., Haverhill, died January 28, 2012 at the Hunt Nursing and RehabilitationCenter, Danvers.
Born in Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Alphonse and Eugenie (Jacques) Soucy, she began her schooling in Canada and moved to Haverhill, MA as a young teenager where she attended TiltonSchool, HaverhillHigh School and the MacIntosh School of Business.She worked as a seamstress for the Samuel Roberts Company and Lemkins Clothing, and for the former Western Electric Company, North Andover for twenty years.
Mrs. Villeneuve was a member of All Saints Parish, Haverhill and the former St. Joseph Parish, Haverhill.
The widow of the late Leo Villeneuve who died in 1968, she is survived by two daughters, Irene Crosby and her husband, Roger of Brentwood, NH and Claire Villeneuve of Georgetown and her companion, Melvin Mittnick; three grandchildren, eleven great- grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
