Obituary

Ronald E. Hatfield, age 80, died unexpectedly but peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2024. He was the son of the late Wellington "Bob" and Saydie (Flynn) Hatfield. He was born in Woburn, MA on November 17, 1943. Ron was raised and educated in Salem, NH and was a graduate of Woodbury High School, Class of 1961. He proudly served his country by enlisting in the United Sates Navy. Ronald had a large family and many friendships that were important to him. He was the kind of man who liked to help people, and had a soft spot for animals. He loved fishing, camping and hunting. During his time in the Navy he played football and learned information technology skills which he used to apply in his professional life as a Systems Analyst for Honeywell. Ron also enjoyed creative activities such as painting, cooking, and woodworking. Later in his life he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing card games, watching Football and Basketball or driving up and down the coast or to the White Mountain's.

He is survived by his children Jeffrey Hatfield and his wife Suzan of Danville, NH and Kellianne McNamara and her husband Scott of Littleton, NH, His previous wife and mother of his children Maryann Hatfield of Exeter, NH, his granddaughters Chelsey LaFleur and her husband David, Kayleigh Paul and her husband Jonathan, Mackenzie Hatfield, Ashley Walukevich, Breanna Walukevich, Cayla Walukevich and Denae Walukevich, his great grandsons Jacob Lafleur and Connor Lafleur, his stepchildren Lisa Walukevich and Glenn Sargent, his siblings Jack Hatfield, Doug Hatfield, Bonnie Frisbee, Terri Gillis, Audrey Mosher and Judith Hanley. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ron was sadly predeceased by his parents Bob and Saydie, his brother Robert Hatfield and his longtime partner Phyllis Sargent.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 11am – 1pm at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:15pm. Interment will be held privately.
